Dr Jamie Whittle - Principal Veterinary Surgeon
Originally from Surrey, Jamie joined Whitworth VP after graduating from Liverpool University in 2002. Practice Principal since 2011, he has grown the practice, extending the surgery and adding the hydrotherapy pool in 2019. Jamie enjoys all aspects of veterinary work and is responsible for veterinary nurse and new graduate training. Outside of work he is a keen sailor and is welfare officer at Waldringfield sailing club. The family have two rescue dogs, Lily and Wilson and a cat called Zola adopted as strays.
Dr Katherine Creamer - Senior Veterinary Surgeon
Katherine grew up in Canada and her first degree was a Masters in Neuroscience. She moved to the UK for her second degree and graduated in veterinary science from the University of Edinburgh. Katherine joined Whitworths in 2013, bringing her passion for veterinary medicine to the team. She has completed a post graduate certificate in veterinary medicine,involving over a hundred hours of studying. She enjoys all aspects of her work, with a particular interest in cardiology.
Married to Tom, Katherine has two lively children. The family have regular adventures in their campervan and love travel. Her other interests include reading, gardening, walking and cooking. Katherine has a rescue dog, Eleni and has fostered kittens.
Senior veterinary surgeon
Originally from Middlesex, Tricia graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 1984, with a distinction in veterinary medicine. She moved to West Suffolk in 1987 and worked for twenty years at a practice in Bury St Edmunds. In 1998, Tricia achieved the RCVS Certificate in Veterinary Dermatology. In 2014 she moved to Whitworth Veterinary Practice, left for two and a half years in 2016 coming back to the team in 2019. She is interested in all companion animal work, with a particular interest in dermatology.
Tricia has three grown up children and lives locally with her partner Jim, Labrador Bertie and Collie Rupert. Outside of work her interests include cycling, walking, gardening, reading and trying the play the piano!
Dr Michal Reszka - Veterinary Surgeon
Michal joined the team in 2016. He graduated from the University of Lublin, Poland in 2013. He is interested in all aspects of small animal practice.
Tara Liffen - Veterinary Nurse
Tara has worked at Whitworth vets since 2002, after studying at Writtle college in Chelmsford she qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005. She has a Labrador called Storm & a lovely cat called Iris.
Student Vet Nurse
Meghan joined Whitworths nursing team in July 2022 following a placement at the practice during a two year Animal Management course at Otley College. She is studying to be an RVN ( registered veterinary nurse) at the Central College of Animal Studies .
Meghan has worked for five years as a customer services assistant and then manager at a Coop in Ipswich

Student Vet Nurse
Megan studied with Meghan at Otley College, also completing the two year Animal Management course with a placement at Whitworths. She joined the reception team in January 2022 and transferred to the nursing team in July. Megan has started her veterinary nurse training with Meghan at the Central College of Animal Studies. Megan’s IT skills bring great technology support to the team. She has taken on the role of our social media team leader.
Megan’s interests include video games, socialising and having fun!
Her pets are a cat called Pog, a snake called Rex and a Leopard Gecko called Blue
Jenny first joined Whitworths in 1977 and was with the practice for eight years. Following fifteen years at a neighbouring practice, she re-joined us in June 2022. Jenny has an NVQ level 2 in animal care and is a qualified ANA ( animal nursing auxillary). She has volunteered for animal charities, including the Blue Cross and Cats Protection League and spent time in Sri Lanka helping an animal welfare organisation. Her interests include small furries and all aspects of client care.
Jenny has a teenage son and away from work enjoys power walking, socialising with friends and walking her boys, lurchers Forrest and Walter. As well as the boys she has Norbert the cat and three rabbits

Hannah joined Whitworth's nursing team in October 2022. She graduated from Harper Adams University with a degree in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. Hannah has worked at different practices in East Anglia including two years at Christchurch Referrals in Ipswich.
Born in Dorset, Hannah grew up in Suffolk and now lives locally with her partner, two cats Socrates and Suki, three snakes Scratching, Gus and Ziggy and bearded dragon Puff. Hannah enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, with a particular interest in exotics, animal behaviour and the human-animal bond.
Outside of work Hannah is a keen roller derby player. She also enjoys gardening, baking and playing video games with her partner.
Wendy Scrivener - Practice Manager
Born in Felixstowe, Wendy worked in animal rescue before joining Whitworths in 2002. She is responsible for the administrative side of the practice and quietly keeps everyone and everything under control. Wendy is also skilled in veterinary nursing and animal care and has a passion for grooming patients. She has a particular interest in animal welfare and has raised thousands of pounds for animal charities.
Outside of work, Wendy is kept busy by her three grandchildren and enjoys walking, reading, cinema and going to the theatre. She has four dogs; two cats; a tortoise and many rabbits and guinea pigs. Wendy has hand-reared multiple animals of all species over the years, the most unusual being baby rheas!
Linda Adams - Receptionist
Linda has worked for Whitworths for over thirty years and is a highly valued member of the team. Her skills include processing insurance forms and all aspects of client care.
Linda loves to travel, both with her husband and her daughter and enjoys walking, reading, visiting the theatre and gardening. She has four beautiful grandchildren.
Linda is owned by Petra, a beautiful Burmese cat.
Laura Marsh - Receptionist
A Trimley girl, Laura joined the practice in 2007. As well as working on reception, she has also worked behind the scenes and is trained in all aspects of animal care. Laura manages the practice PHS scheme and the monthly reminders and is a whizz on the computer.
Laura has a gorgeous son, Ajay, who keeps her and her partner Adam busy! Outside of work, the family enjoy country walks, cycling and family get togethers.
Lucinda Pain - Receptionist
Lucinda joined out team in 2018, she has 3 black labradors & 4 german shepherds, 7 cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens & 2 tortoises. She also breeds black labradors.
Alyson Farthing - Receptionist
Alyson is an experienced veterinary receptionist and joined our busy team in 2019
Amy Whittle - Business Director
Amy runs a range of administrative tasks for the practice and is usually found busy in her office accompanied by the her cat Nimbus and faithful hound, Lily.
